A novice is a person who has little to no operational experience on the lifting or construction equipment they wish to be trained on. If you fall into a category then you need to book a full training course.
Full training courses are usually conducted over a five day period because the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 stipulates that 40 hours of training must be completed by the learner.
Renewal courses are offered to pupils who previously did training and need to re-certify. Most Certifications are only valid for 2 years and need to be updated by a registered training provider in order to operate again. Renewal courses are usually conducted over a period of 2 days as per regulations. Remember to check your certificate's expiry date to confirm whether you need to renew your certification,
